Owner of the international franchise Babyballet Claire O’Connor will be talking to us on ‘The Ups & Downs of Business Development’. Claire is a local business success story with now over 50 franchises.
After lunch we will be networking using a ‘table shuffle’ where you will be given the opportunity to ‘pitch’ your business. This is a chance to tell everyone what you do and what makes you different to other businesses. Please tell us what your target market is and if you are looking to team up with other complimentary businesses in the room. Bring plenty of business cards!

2 day ‘Introduction to NLP’ with Anton at Prego restaurant on 2nd & 3rd December 2013.
Following the success of Anton Teasdale (see below for details about Anton) NLP presentation to Brighouse Link in April we are delighted to announce that we are running a 2 day ‘Introduction to NLP’ with Anton at Prego restaurant on 2nd & 3rd December 2013. We are running it at a bargain cost of £100 & Vat for the 2 days which will include a buffet lunch at Prego for each of the 2 days!
The workshop will be perfect for those who want to try a flavour of NLP. For those, who after the event, want to take things further, the training will count as part of the Practitioner qualification.
Peter Sleigh has trained for NLP with Anton and is now part way through doing his master Practitioner programme. It has had such an impact on Peter that he wanted to make it easily accessible to all his Brighouse Link colleagues.

Peter Sleigh is having a brilliant time learning all about how people work on his NLP journey which Anton leads. Presentation Skills Mini Masterclass – Martin Haigh Lattitude 7 – 10am-12:30pm 17th January 2014
Martin Haigh from award-winning company Lattitude 7 is running a Presentation Skills Mini Masterclass for Brighouse Link on 17th January 2014. This is a free two hour workshop which is definitely not to be missed. Please put the date in your calendar! It will highlight Martin’s professional skills in how to improve the way we feel when making a presentation in front of a large audience and how to translate these feelings into a positive and entertaining experience for the presenter and the audience. More information will follow nearer the date.
Peter Sleigh has himself taken part in one of Martin’s workshops and found it to be a useful tool for making improvements when public speaking. It helped Peter to see himself from the audience’s angle and gave ideas on how to make presentations more engaging to a mass audience. He found it to be very useful and a lot of fun too! Why not come along and see for yourself?
Martin Haigh is also holding a Stage Fright Presentation Skills workshop at the Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford on 15th November and wondered if any members of Brighouse Link would benefit from coming along to this event. The highly interactive session will be held from 8.30 a.m to 4 p.m and refreshments and lunch are included. The cost is £145.00 per person.
All delegates will take home a framed certificate and will benefit from Martin’s skilful training in overcoming the fear of public speaking. It will help improve confidence, and help in handling nerves prior to a presentation.
