Small business owners and entrepreneurs in Yorkshire have been encouraged to apply for government funds.
Lord Heseltine visited the area yesterday and urged local enterprises to bid for cash from the government’s £1.4 billion Regional Growth Fund (RGF).
Bids must be able to demonstrate that the Fund will create long term growth by levering private sector investment and jobs.
Round 1 of the bidding will close on 21 January 2011. New registrations of interest should be sent to growthfund@bis.gsi.gov.uk.
